Stinson Beachfront

Objective

Picture a contemporary house with sweeping views of beautiful Stinson Beach. Our mission was to design a space with grand scenes of the ocean and sand dunes at the back of the home, as well as a guest home, tranquil spa, and garden in the front courtyard. Every aspect of the build had to conform to strict FEMA regulations and meet the criteria of the homeowner’s association.

Challenge

Understandably, the client did not want restricted views or confined spaces. Meeting stringent FEMA requirements, alongside the structural challenges of constructing a home on sand was an exciting challenge for our expert team.

Solution

To ensure we were compliant with all aspects of the various requirements, the team maintained strict documentation and inspection sign-offs throughout the construction process. With a steel I-Beam framework as the main structural component of the house, as well as lower breakaway walls at the understory, the structure was protected in case of potential tidal flood events. The result was a stunning contemporary home that will last for generations.

Client Feedback

“Hadley did a good job of managing the neighbors and kept a very clean job site, especially on Fridays, cleaning it up for the weekend. They are very conscientious and thorough contractors, and we are happy with the end product and quality of work. I would recommend Hadley if you want a really high-quality, well built home.” Stinson Beachfront Residents
